31 Days: an organized laundry room

{Click here to find the topic menu for the entire month along with links to each day.}

When we moved into this apartment I lost my large walk-in laundry area {boo!} and was forced to make due with a closet sized laundry room that I can barely walk into. But make do we did. We headed to our favorite staple store {Target} and bought some wire shelving and wall hanging units to make the most of the space that we had. Five shelves and one wall organizer later we found homes for all our laundry needs.

I found these free printables on BHG.com that work out great for labeling all sorts of things. I printed them out, used some sticky laminating to protect them from dribbles {since these will be going in the laundry room,} punched a hole and tied them to baskets. I also found this helpful Stain Removal Basics chart from Martha Stewart {free printable here} via I Heart Organizing.

{yes, we have a lot of missing socks}

Here are a few photos for more laundry room organization inspiration – I love how both of these rooms feel so warm and cozy, not your typical laundry room {I might actually enjoy a space that looks like this!}
